How is IV or IM ketamine different than Spravato?
Spravato and IV/IM ketamine are both used to treat depression and can be administered by licensed healthcare practitioners. In layman’s terms, Spravato (generic: esketamine) is a derivative of ketamine. Ketamine can be administered in various forms, including intravenously, intramuscularly, orally, or as a nasal spray. Spravato, on the other hand, is specifically formulated as a nasal spray.
