Meet Dr. Jonathan Rosman

Dr. Jonathan P. Rosman joined APN as Medical Director at the APN Lodge in Edwards, Colorado. Dr. Rosman brings a wealth of clinical and leadership experience to the APN team, spanning 40 years as a psychiatrist, including extensive experience as an addiction psychiatrist and sleep specialist.

Dr. Rosman fully endorses the APN philosophy of treating the patient as a whole person, and his goal as a clinician is to help people achieve greater happiness in their lives, not just to relieve distress.

Background and Education

Jonathan P. Rosman, MD, obtained his medical degree from the University of Pretoria in South Africa at the age of 22. He completed his residency training in psychiatry at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and at the University Hospitals of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. Following this, he completed a fellowship program in Forensic Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

Dr. Rosman obtained his Specialist Certification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, and his Board certification in Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. He has also obtained Board certifications in the sub-specialties of Addiction Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, and Sleep Medicine.

During his career, Dr. Rosman has served on the faculty at Case Western Reserve University, the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, and the University of Colorado, Denver.

In his spare time, Dr. Rosman enjoys flying airplanes and alpine skiing. He is an FAA-certified flight instructor and a professional ski instructor.

Dr. Rosman is the author of the self-help book The Art of Joyful Living: A Practical Guide to Happiness. He has lived and worked in Colorado since 2007.
