Meet Amy Maxwell: Clinical Manager – Boulder IOP
Amy runs the mental health IOP in Boulder at Plus’s downtown Boulder location. She is a master’s level licensed professional counselor with an additional certificate in psychedelic assisted therapy and training in EMDR. Amy’s approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that relationships heal, and that our earliest relationships are a blueprint for how we relate to ourselves and the world in adulthood. She takes a warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental approach in the therapeutic relationship to cultivate a safe space to explore and be curious about our relational wounds. Amy values the opportunity that psychotherapy provides for individuals to take agency over the narrative that has guided their lives and make meaning in a way that feels personally valuable to them.
